Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee Honors 2007 Grand Marshal Bill Lavin

Union County, NJ--The 2007 Union County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee proudly announces Elizabeth native Bill Lavin has been named Grand Marshal of the 11th Annual Union County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

Grand Marshal Lavin will be honored with a reception on Saturday, February 17 from 1-5 p.m. at the Blackthorn Irish Pub located at 651 North Michigan Avenue in Kenilworth, NJ 07033.

Lavin, of Woodbridge, is an Elizabeth firefighter and is known throughout the state for his decade of service as President of the New Jersey State Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA) advocating for professional firefighters and their families. He is also known for his tireless efforts as a member of the Board of Directors of the St. Barnabas Burn Foundation, a counselor at the Children’s Burn Camp in Connecticut, as the Director of the New Jersey State FMBA Foundation and for his involvement in many other charitable organizations.

Tickets for the reception are $25 and include draught beer, food, wine and soda. Entertainment will include pipes and drums and the Celtic Rock sounds of Gael Force who will be launching their new album “Flame of Wrath” at the reception.
