Worked as a photo editor and desk manager on international news wire picture desk.

Responsibilities included editing images for content and news value, editing and writing captions, working closely with photographers, assignment editors and clients, and coordinating daily news coverage.

Promoted to Picture Desk Manager, responsibilities included all aspects of the desk and managing a staff of six editors.

Based in Budapest and Los Angeles, photographing news, business and feature assignments for publications in Europe and the U.S. Pictures appeared in the following publications: The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Mother Jones, Chicago Tribune, The Independent (U.K.), Conde Nast Traveller (U.K.), Details (U.S.), Business Central Europe, Central Europe Economic Review, Budapest & Warsaw Business Journals, Voyage (Warsaw).

Also worked as a stringer for the Netherlands Press Association and for EPA in Europe, and contributed as a writer to University of Southern California's Online Journalism Review.

Responsiblefor all aspects of editorial photography for a 12,000 circulation English-language business weekly in a post-communist emerging market.

Included photographing five to fifteen assignments a week, picture editing and organizing freelance photographers across Poland.

Responsible for editorial photography, shooting five to ten assignments a week for English-language weekly in post-communist Hungary.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, photographing news and feature assignments for newspapers on both sides of the Atlantic including the Irish Echo (NY), Irish Independent (Dublin), Belfast Telegraph, Jersey Journal (NJ), The Bergen Record (NJ), Asbury Park Press (NJ).

STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER, NORTH JERSEY NEWSPAPERS, 1989-1991

Photographed four to six assignments a day for sister newspapers The Hudson Dispatch and The Elizabeth Daily Journal. Both were color urban dailies with a circulation of more than 35,000 each.
